Professional Standards

Developing organizational skills, research practices, and professional adaptation in various project environments.

Organizing

  • Foundation: Created and signed a Team Charter to set clear rules and consequences for the team
  • Workflow: Used a Trello board to plan tasks week-by-week and set firm deadlines
  • Lesson: Having a clear structure and deadlines helped us stay organized and responsible for finishing tasks on time

Introduction
After discussing how to create our agency, we formalized our structure by creating a team charter to set rules and consequences that everyone agreed to follow.

Process
We signed the team charter to officially agree on our core values and guiding principles. We then set up a Trello board to plan and track tasks each week, clearly assigning who was responsible for what. We used the Trello board to set deadlines and organize the entire workflow.

Reflection
The Trello board gave us a much better structure and workflow. Setting clear deadlines also created healthy pressure, which helped us be more responsible and finish our tasks on time.

Research

Because I wanted to gain more experience with the surreal collage theme, I did some research on the topic to understand its roots and what it represents. I enjoyed the freedom it offers when creating designs, as well as the "weirdness" that allows you to express anything through stickers and bits and pieces that you wouldn't usually think would work together.

Portfolio inspiration:
For my portfolio, I wanted to lay the groundwork for my dream career as a climbing videographer. I started by diving into the work of companies I admire, like Mellow, Reel Rock, and Red Bull, trying to catch the vibe they create, the stories they tell, and the values they stand for. At the same time, I looked at how different climbers present themselves on Instagram, picking up bits of inspiration from the way they share their passion. Little by little, these influences helped me shape a clearer picture of the direction I'd like to take with my own work.

Social Impact of the Pride Project

Research Method

Summary

  • Used desk research and comparative analysis to guide the Pride videos.
  • Studied other Pride reels to inform interviews, B-roll, and storytelling.

Introduction
To make the Eindhoven Pride videos professional and engaging, I researched existing Pride videos and social media reels. This helped me understand effective pacing, storytelling, and representation of sub-communities.

Process
I analyzed techniques I liked and applied them to our storyboard and shot list. While filming, I referenced this research for camera angles, sequences, and B-roll integration. Feedback from teammates and stakeholders helped refine the approach.

Reflection
This research method taught me to base creative decisions on proven examples. It improved the video’s quality, guided editing, and reinforced the value of preparation and validation before production.

  • Answered questions from stakeholders on the spot.

Introduction
